Carmen CHAN (Hong Kong)

Dr Carmen K M Chan, MB BChir (Cantab), MRCP(UK), MRCOphth, FRCSEd(Ophth), FCOphth (HK), FHKAM(Ophthalmology), graduated from the University of Cambridge with 1st class honours, and the University of London. She underwent training in internal medicine and ophthalmology in the UK before returning to Hong Kong to join the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences of the Chinese University of Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Eye Hospital (HKEH). Dr Chan subspecialises in Neuro-Ophthalmology and Uveitis. She received fellowship training in Neuro-ophthalmology under the mentorship of Prof Neil Miller at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University, US; and Prof J F Cullen at the Singapore National Eye Center.

She is currently Associate Consultant, coordinator of the Neuro-ophthalmology Service and deputy coordinator of the Medical Retina and Uveitis service at the HKEH. She has published 40 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 2 book chapters. She has been on the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress scientific program committee (Neuro-ophthalmology) since 2008 and she is currently on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Neuro-ophthalmology.
