Hunter YUEN (Hong Kong)

Dr. Hunter Yuen graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995 with a First of Medicine (Gold Medal) award. He is a consultant and coordinator of the Orbital and Oculoplastic Surgery at Hong Kong Eye Hospital. He did his fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in 2003. He has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed international publications and several book chapters and has delivered numerous lectures at international meetings.

His awards include Best Oral Presentation at the 2001 Hong Kong Annual Scientific Meeting, Best Oral Presentation at the 4th International Symposium of Ophthalmology and one of the best posters at the American Academy of Ophthalmology 2005 Annual Meeting. Dr. Yuen was elected as one of the Ten Young Outstanding Persons in 2007 and Hong Kong Outstanding Volunteer in 2011. He has also been awarded the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Yasuo Tano Travel Grant, APAO Achievement Award and APAO Distinguished Service Award.

Dr. Yuen is actively involved in numerous nongovernmental organizations and charity work. He is also vice president of the Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, president of the Hong Kong Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and honorary professor at Shantou University.
