Xiangtian ZHOU (China)

Xiangtian Zhou, Ph.D. is full professor of School of Ophthalmology and Optometry, Wenzhou Medical University. Professor Zhou received his BS degree in Clinical Medicine from Zhejiang University in 1999 and went to study Ophthalmology in Wenzhou Medical University. In 2010, he finished his Ph.D. in the University Of New South Of Wales. Upon graduation, he joined Wenzhou Medical University as an Ophthalmologist. He has had 80 peer-reviewed publications and holds 20 patents so far. He currently serves as member of ARVO Global Members Committee and Vice Chairman of Chinese Association of Young Ophthalmology. Professor Zhou’s main research interest includes pathogenesis and molecular genetics studies of human myopia, elucidating the mechanism underling myopia development by using guinea pig and mouse myopia models.
